Join us on April 15 at 12 to 2 P.M. for a truly unique multiethnic/ multicultural program at Queens College’s Rosenthal Library (525 #2). This event and part of our mission is supported by EMBCA and AHEPA Delphi Chapter #25 , and organized by Prof. Nicholas Alexiou, The Hellenic American Project /Queens College Sociology Department and the Black History Month Committee. In the program relating to the Hellenic Revolution of 1821. Lou Katsos EMBCA’s President will make the main presentation on “ – “Contributions of African Americans in the Hellenic Revolution of 1821, and Early American Philhellenes Ushering the Abolition and Suffrage Movements” a topic on the Revolution rarely (if ever) discussed. There will be Hellenic music and songs by the famous Hellenic guitarist, composer, producer and arranger Spiros Exaras and Blues/ Jazz by the very talented Phil Young Experience. There will be NO Charge for this event and we encourage all to attend. Due to the high academic nature of the program it will also be part of AHEPA’s Seraphim Canoutas Lecture Series.
