Blockchain, Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies Panel Discussion: The Flight of the Eagle or Icarus

Join us on Thursday, February 22 for a highly anticipated panel discussion that many have asked for and in the news entitled “Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrencies: The Flight of the Eagle or Icarus” which will be held at the 3 West Club (3 West 51st) at 6 P.M.. Our panel moderator will be James P. Gerkis, Partner at Proskauer Rose LLP, an international law firm, where he specializes in sophisticated U.S. and global mergers & acquisitions, capital markets and real estate-related transactions. He is a frequent presenter at both business and legal conferences, and has authored various articles relevant to his practice areas. We are excited to have him moderate a panel discussion that will be highly thought provoking, cogent on a timely topic that is constantly in the news but that many know very little about but curious. The panel will include among others:

Arjun Balaji: Arjun is the Chief Investment Officer at Shomei Capital, where he invests in both cryptoassets and early-stage companies. He is a technologist who has worked on early-stage companies, deploying consumer and enterprise software to hundreds of thousands of users. An early investor in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other digital assets, he’s actively written and spoken on the future of money since 2012. His primary interests are in cryptoeconomic incentive design and building scalable infrastructure in the ecosystem.

Steven Bregman: Steven is President and co-Founder of Horizon Kinetics. He is head of Research, a member of the Investment Committee and the Board. Steven invests in and has published extensive research on cryptocurrencies.

Steven Hatzakis: Steven is Global Director of Research, Forex & Crypto at ForexBrokers.com. He is an active investor, researcher, and consultant to FinTech companies and contributes to self-regulatory initiatives to develop best-practices for cryptocurrency market participants. Steven is a CFTC-registered Commodity Trading Advisor and holds a series-3 license. He first wrote about bitcoin in 2013 and is interested in the socioeconomic impact potential of decentralized blockchain networks and emerging infrastructure protocols for web 3.0.
